Quiet software does its job and gets out of the way. It does not nag. It does not gamify chores you already dislike. It does not rename settings to sound friendly while hiding the control you needed.
CAOD apps aim for that posture. A reminder app should remind, not coach your personality. A lookup tool should answer and release you. A parent tool should surface safety information without turning anxiety into engagement metrics.
Quiet does not mean minimal to the point of uselessness. It means every screen earns its pixels. Every notification must pass a simple test: would we send this if the recipient were sitting beside us?
We publish static pages without accounts where that is enough. Where an app stores data, the privacy notice says so plainly. We do not load third-party tags on public pages to measure you while we preach restraint.
If you build with us or write about our work, treat quiet as a requirement, not a aesthetic garnish. See No theatre, Small by design, and Selected work for how it shows up in public.
