Purpose
Not everything needs a product surface. Some text is better as a page.
Pages is for:
- Public statements and short essays
- Press and partner reference copy
- Notices that should not expire inside a release note
- PDFs, one-off HTML, or assets linked from elsewhere
- Material that should remain readable without signing in
Pages is not for:
- Running software (use apps.caod.ch)
- Team runbooks or credentials (use docs.caod.ch behind team access)
- Analytics dashboards or live data feeds
- Anything that needs a database session
Think of pages as the shelf in the lobby. Apps are the workshop. Docs are the binder behind the desk.
When in doubt, write a page first. You can always link to it from an app later.
