Surface
A working surface is flat, well lit, and free of clutter that was never put away. Public CAOD pages aim for the same quality: readable type, obvious links, and nothing moving unless it helps you understand.
We treat each page as a single task. About explains the host. Contact gives an address. An essay makes one argument. When a page tries to do three jobs, we split it or cut until one remains.
Contrast, focus order, and link text matter as much here as inside an app. A surface you struggle to read is a surface you will not trust. See Accessibility for the checks we apply in public.
We build to plain HTML and serve static files. No accounts on this host. No scripts from other domains. The page you receive is the page we wrote. Technical detail about how pages are assembled lives on Colophon.
